Things to do to Prepare for your Estate Sale
- Making the Decision: Many of life’s events can necessitate an estate sale, be it a death in the family or the need to downsize. Not sure you can have an estate sale in your home [HOA restrictions, gated community, or you do not want people in your home], contact us so we can discuss the many options and services we offer to assist you. - What can be sold at an estate sale? Almost everything! We sell everything from kitchenware to fine china, utilitarian furniture to fine antiques, bicycles to cars, fine jewelry to gold & silver to any and everything in between. We even sell the used chemicals under your sink! We will NOT sell any personal/financial items we find during our staging process or illegal items. We will use our best judgment, but our goal is to sell everything for the highest and best price for you. And believe me, people WILL buy everything that’s in the home.
- What am I suppose to do with items I am going to keep or cannot move out of the home before the sale? Prior to the start of set-up, it is strongly advised to have all personal items you wish to keep either removed from the home or secured in closet. This way, the items you wish to keep will not be sold during the sale or commingled and accidentally sold. Something is being sold with the home (e.g., washer & dryer or something large like a pool table). We deal with this situation all the time and have ways to secure your belongings so they will not be sold. Any items that are readily movable, need to be secured in one location and behind a locked the door.
